Climate Action

Taking concrete steps towards climate action is crucial to creating a sustainable future as most of these challenges are climate-induced. HnhKenya actively engages in environmental conservation efforts. Through our “Plant for the Planet” campaign, we are actively planting and growing trees hence helping to restore ecosystems, combat desertification, and reduce carbon emissions.

A large area of Kajiado County is characterized as a semi-arid. Over the years, the communities living here have largely contributed to environmental degradation, especially through deforestation. This has seen a negative impact on farming and wildlife considering that kajiado county is the home to 3 major national parks and a game reserve. I.e; Amboseli National park and partly the Tsavo game reserve and Nairobi national park.

We recognize the importance of creating awareness on climate change and its impact on vulnerable communities including children &youth. HnH Kenya conducts educational programs and workshops to educate the community on climate change, its causes, and the necessary actions to mitigate its effects. We have also established environmental clubs in schools through our “Plant for the Planet” campaign aimed at educating the children/ youth in schools and promoting environmental conservation.
