Climate-Smart Agriculture

In line with the sustainable development goals (SDGs), HnhKenya promotes smart agriculture practices among the community. Through training programs and support, we encourage the adoption of innovative and climate-resilient agricultural techniques, enabling the community to improve their livelihoods while minimizing their environmental impact.

Agriculture is the major economic activity in Kajiado county. A big percentage of the locals are either farmers or pastoralist, however, they have not yet tapped the full potential of agriculture in the area. The large tracts of land owned by the locals have been underutilized and most of the farmers are not familiar with best and modern farming practices hence earning very little from farming. Through this program local have an opportunity to learn the best and modern practices of sustainable farming techniques to help them maximize their income in farming and eradicate hunger. The youth have a responsibility to feed the future and therefore we are committed to ensuring that more youth are involved in agriculture and prepare them for their future task.
