Plant for the planet

This is annual project that aims at restoring the forest cover in Loitokitok region, which has been greatly destroyed by the communities living in the region. The project involves planting trees in schools with help of primary school children. The children are educated on the importance of planting trees and each pupil or a group of pupils is allocated a tree to take care of until it is fully-grown. The program also involves encouraging the community to grow trees in their homes and churches and educating them on the importance of growing trees.

So far in conjunction with the county government of Kajiado and Kenya forestry service we have planted over 3000 trees in Loitokitok sub county. We aim to grow over 10,000 trees every year in the region through this initiative under the Environmental conservation program/pillar.
