In March 2022 Stockholm+50 preliminary meeting is held at the UN headquarters in New York. Elvis Leyian, the CEO of Heads and Hands initiative  who is also a member of the UNEPMGCY and Stockholm+50 youth taskforce got the  privilege  to attend  and address the UN general assembly on behalf of the youths across the world. He was selected  to present his inputs in the leadership dialogue 2 of Stockholm+50.He mentioned the youth exigencies where one of them was establishment of a youth office in the UN.

Six months later on the 8th of September the UNGA announced the establishment of the  youth office resolution A/76/L85.This was a significant victory for youth throughout the world, since they now have a permanent place and representation at the decision-making table.
