Globally, people benefit daily from the use of wild species for energy, food, recreation and many other survival sources. For instance, wildlife has been a source of income and revenue in may countries especially when it comes to tourism which has helped improve our economy in different ways in various sectors.

According to the Living Planet report, we are losing the biodiversity at an alarming rate where 69% of birds, mammals, reptiles and other species are reducing. This is a heavy negative impact on the future. Every 3rd of March we celebrate our beautiful flora and fauna to raise awareness on the many benefits that they provide and also fight against the crimes that social and economic impacts. This day gives us an opportunity to focus on the actions we need to take to protect our wildlife. As heads and hands we take this opportunity to encourage each an every of us to make every effort possible to protect our wildlife.
